形態特徵

• Culms densely tufted, ca. 1 mm across, hard.
• Blade linear-lanceolate, ca. 4 mm wide by 10 cm long, basal part covered with tubercled hairs; sheath margins and mouth of sheath ciliated; ligule ca. 1 mm long, tongue shaped, upper part and backside ciliate.
• Inflorescence a small panicle. Spikelets paired, dimorphic; upper pedicellate; lower sessile, fertile, ca. 4.2 mm long, excluding long awn. Lower glume subcoriaceous, lanceolate, ca. 4 mm long, laterally 2-grooved, minutely aristate, margins inrolled and ciliate; upper glume lanceolate, as long as lower, margins inrolled, upper part 2-keeled, ciliate along keels, inconspicuously 5-7-nerved; upper lemma ca. 2 mm long, with an awn arising from tip, awn 5 times its length of lemma; upper palea hyaline, ca. 2.5 mm long, rounded or acute at apex.

分布

• 台灣 : Endemic to littoral regions of Lanyu Is., Lutao Is. and the eastern part of Taiwan. Locally abundant and a valuable fodder grass.
